Who we are

METU UK Alumni Association is responsible for the details you submit through the expression-of-interest form and when buying tickets.

What we collect

Your first name, surname, email address, UK town or city, expected number of attendees and, if you choose, your METU graduation year. We also record when you submitted the form and acknowledged this notice.

Ticket purchases

When you buy tickets we collect your name and email, and for each guest their name, ticket type, METU affiliation and graduation year (graduates), an optional email, and for children the adult they attend with. For member tickets we collect the association member's name and email and whether the ticket is for the member or a family member, so organisers can review eligibility. We do not collect children's ages or dates of birth. If you provide other guests' details, you confirm you have their permission.

Payments are processed by Stripe on its secure checkout page. We never see or store card details; we receive the payment status and amount. Order, ticket and check-in records are kept to run the event, issue and check tickets, and handle refunds.

Member eligibility is reviewed after payment and applies to that order only. Emails about your order (payment acknowledgements, membership verification, clarification, resolution payments and confirmed tickets) are sent through our website's email service once it is set up; until then your paid order and any confirmed tickets are available through your secure order link.

How we use it

Only to manage your expression of interest in the METU UK 70th Anniversary & New Year Ball 2027 and to contact you about this event, including when tickets are released. We do not use it for unrelated marketing and do not sell or share it.

Who can see it

Only authorised event organisers. Your details are stored securely and are never shown publicly.

Your choices

You can ask us to correct or delete your details at any time. Submitting the form does not reserve a place or create an account.
